Remembering my first visit to Berlin. It was a nice 3 day trip… celebrated with my wonderful wife. We stayed in the nhow Berlin hotel on the banks of the Spree river.
Berlin has that great metro feel of concrete and steel – tainted with graffiti. The mix of culture and history emanate its importance in the world.
As a tourist, the Berlin Wall set the tone for the visit. Reality reminders of what happened involved coming into contact with pieces of the wall, Checkpoint Charly, and a the DDR Museum. It was a history lesson not only on the life in socialism, but also the way simple media and propaganda can manipulate our minds. I reflected on “The Wall” as a tourism attraction while enjoying a traditional berliner curry wurst… and found myself lost in a city sand beach.
Back at the hotel room, I was able to watch Merkel addressing the Bundestag about the Euro rescue plans. She received approval for remaining opposed to Eurobonds, and a mild dose of heroism filled our hearts. The politician has once again handled to save us from further crisis. Troubled states were bound to come crashing down if something wasn’t done… hmmmm…
Moreover… However… and Therefore…
We are not able to escape from this constant economic global crisis. Media continues to promote the crisis. Meanwhile, many results indicate removing freedoms and money. Somehow we must keep faith that this is for our own good. However, people have become more discontent. Revolution has chosen to accompany the global crisis.
Revolution? What is the endgame? All in All….
